Studying for A+

When studying for this is it recommended to get some computer parts from somehere and play around with it all. Put it togthere etc. If this is the case, what should I buy? And where would I get the stuff? I am in Japan.
 
What's your budget? I'm not sure if everything we list here is in Japan, so you might have to look around for alternatives.
 
I recommend using the CompTIA A+ 2006 In Depth book. I don't have a direct link to it but im sure if you search on Amazon.com you can find it. Theres is also a resource kit which contains a 800 practice question book which is very very close to the mark on what to expect on the test. Also, check out this site, which contains a forum and links to things such as cheat sheets and memorization tips.

just go to techexams.net they have all the answers if you choose to see them or just not cheat and do the questions. :cool:
 
The best bet is to check out your local community college. A lot of times they will have a one or two week course for like $350 which includes the test itself, which is like $150 per a test so the class ends up costing only $50.

Or get a hold of some practice test. A lot of the questions aren't how to plug in some parts but more of troubleshooting. So, unless you have on the job or hands on training troubleshooting you are just going to have to learn the text book answers.

Then again i took the A+ 10 years ago when it was mostly DOS and windows 3.11 and windows 95 questions, hahaha
