 I want to find out where I can get a ddr 512 ram card for my emachine computer. it is a T2682 and they wont tell me what it uses, and i dont wanna pay 90$ for a card!

According to Google (my best friend) the T2682 uses PC2100 RAM. How much do you have in there now? You may run into problems with dual channel compatibility, although I doubt that that machine would have dual channel. Also check to make sure that you have available slots.

If you are in the USA, then go to Newegg and search for 512MB PC2100 RAM. Anything there should work, just stay away from refurbished or generic RAMs.

Thanks, and I have 256 standard:D and 256 on my graph card. will I be able to install the 512 in the other memory slot and use both cards at the same time or would that be dual channeling(which I wouldnt bet my computer could do) also, does the hz of a card matter?

*cough* Ima noobtard

*edit*
OK I downloaded everest and I have a PC2700 DDR SDRAM memory card.

Yes you would be able to install 512MB in the other slot, but it would not be dual channel, because for such both cards need to be the same amount. And your machine probably does not support it. And yes the "hz" of the card does matter, that is what the PC2100/PC2700 is referring to. Since you have PC2700 in your computer right now, buy another stick of PC2700 and stick it in, and it should work.

I can't disagree with you there :P

ok, one last question, everest says my memory card runs at 200hz, and the card I want runs at 333, will it work?

Then you probably have PC2700 RAM, but the motherboard does not support that speed, so it runs at PC2100 speed. Either PC2700 or PC2100 will work, afaik.
