Stupid fan

For some reason when i download any software that monitors the fan (FanSpeed, etc) , it can not detect it. I'm sure the fan is on because when i stick my hand behind the fan, i feel it and i can HEAR it!!!!

Can someone help me?

Im not 100% sure but i believe for fans to work with speed fan, they need to be connected to the mobo. It cant just connect to the PSU via 4 pin molex.

(Ive never gotten FanSpeed working and ive always assumed this is why. Maybe not though...)

Correct. 3- or 4-pin on the MoBo = readable; 4-pin Molex = non-readable. I used to have two fans that had both connectors, and only one spare MoBo port.
