stupid question about a cell phone i have.

No, don't use them but had one. Just a basic with AT&T. Two year contract up a couple days ago. Been with family out of state and a grandpa again.
Told daughter and husband and talked about cell phones and can get out of contract now after two years. Family said will put me on there's. Nice gift. Bought me a ATRIX 4G Android what ever that is. Im back home now and for the life of me when i slide across the screen to see the rest of the icons i can not slide the icons to the front (first) screen easily. Have to try 20 times.
What am i doing wrong. slide the icon after highlighting then slide to edge then stays there. Is there a easier way? the phone is a Motorola.
Love toys though. cost $35.00 a month. Internet, GPS and everything else.
little more than what i want.

Also didn't come with a manual either. With all the features you would think it would.

Go to the screen where you are attempting to slide the icons to.

Tap on the bottom left button (on a HTC its bottom left), to bring up the apps list.

When you have found the one you want, click and hold it until it drops onto the screen.

To delete from the old screen.

Click and hold until "REMOVE" comes up at the bottom of the screen and then drag it down and it'll be gone.

I do hope your phone is roughly the same as mine!!
 
thanks for the reply but its already on the 2nd page. Im trying to move the icons from the 2nd and third page to the 1st page so i don't have to scroll side ways to see the other icons. if that makes sense. thanks.

Tap and hold the icon until it follows your finger, then bring it to the side of the screen in the direction you want to put it. Basically bring it over as far as you can, and it should scroll for you. Then drop it where ever you want.

You can also push the icon in between the phone button and contacts button to bring up all your icons, and you can tap and hold any one of those to bring it to your homescreen as well.
 
Alright that worked and thank you. I deleted Gary then stayed on the first page then added and went there. sliding across like mentioned did not work for me though.

Im saying it worked after deleting. stayed on the first page then went to all apps then added then went to first page. thats ME.........
