Sudden Death. Whats causin it???

hi all. Well i dont know whether this query belongs to this section but please help me out here. I got this new Aspire E560 few days back. It said its got 512mb ATi X1300 graphics adapter, 1gb ram, 320gb hdd, etc etc. Now most of the stuff is true for example the 1gb ram and the 320 gb hdd. I installed C&C: Generals and even LOTR:BFME 2. The problem with both these games is that whenever i start a campaign my units suddenly die within just 2-3 minitues or even less. I mean i justr cant do anything. I just wanted to know whether this is due to the graphics or is it something else coz both of these were working fine on my old PC. Also i tried resolving this by installing the 7.1 catalyst drivers and suddenly the graphic adapters name's changed to Ati Radeon X1550. Please let me know what to do coz i cant fidget around inside the system or the warranty will be void.

ummm

i heard something about this concerning anti piracy, if its a pirate game, thats the likely cause, if not i suggest you contact ea and ask them, since those two games share the same engine.
 
Thanx xander but i dont think thats the problem coz it was working perfectly on my previous pc. On the other hand though its a pirate cd it works just fine even in my friend's pc.
 
Thanx for the advice dude but i'd appreciate if you could stick to the question please coz i am definately not the only 1 using pirated software here. Anyways thanx again but do help me out if you have a possible solution.
