Suggestions for $750 Computer Build

I've decided I'm gunna get out of the laptop scene and go back to desktop for more of my music, movies, and newer games like WoW, Crysis, Gears of War. I'm interested in getting a motherboard capable of HDMI, and preferable a quality blu ray drive because I've been seeing a decent drop in prices for desktop internals. Could you guys steer me in the direction of a good build in the range of $750.

a think you may need a bit more of a budget if you want it to have a blu ray drive coz they seem to be around $100 - $140 for the relatively good ones.

I forgot to say that I don't need a monitor, since i recently got a Dell 2408WFP. So even if the blu ray drive is 140, still have 610 to spend on components

What does crossfire mean?If I was to drop the Blu Ray drive, what would be the alternative setup for dvd burner.

Stick with 1 dvd burner, or get an additional? Where is the cheapest place for operating systems. How hard is it to configure dual boot?

Stick with one, not really a need for two. For operating systems newegg.com you can get Windows Vista Home premium x64 for around $99.99. What operating systems are you planning on dual booting and i can tell you the difficulty level of it;)

I haven't really thought about dual booting, what would be the reason to boot up xp and vista? Compatibility issues with vista for games and such?

Well, imo dual booting vista and xp is unnecessary. I had few problems with vista, and i have even less problems now that im running the windows 7 release candidate. If you want windows 7 and dont want to purchase an operating system right now, you could aways download the rc from microsofts site and burn it to a dvd. It will be on the microsoft website until June 30th;)

Release candidate, it doesnt have all the bugs fully hammered out, but since windows 7 will be released by the end of the year, it beats having to buy vista for $100 or so, then in 6 months buy windows 7. This way you can just use windows 7 til it comes out, and then buy it once it comes out;) Link here:

The release candidate expires June 10th 2009, so you should have plenty of time to be able to buy the full version;)
