Suggestions for a desktop?

Hi CF, it's my first time here so hello! I've come to ask a question or two and I'm hoping you can help me out with them.

I originally planned on building my own computer, but with school there really isn't enough time for me to do that. I've decided that I'll buy a pre-built, but I'm having trouble finding a good bang for the buck. The purpose of this would be to play games, and I'm looking to get a quad core with a good graphics card for around 800 dollars.

I've looked at iBUYPOWER and I can get a good setup for only $698 but I've heard mixed reviews about them. Feel free to suggest anything you'd like, and if you have an opinion on IBP please tell me because I'm not sure if buying from them would be good or not.

I am willing to pay 900 but that's my actual limit and I would like to avoid going that high.

Thank you!

All you need is a few hours one Sunday afternoon to build your own! Most people on this forum would agree with me on that. Buying a prebuilt from iBuyPower or where ever is a decision you will probably regret in one way or another in the future.

Why do you say that?

Other suggestions would be greatly appreciated as well.

I say that because you get so much more "bang for your buck" if you build your own computer.

I heard that but after looking at IBP it doesn't really seem so, but I could be wrong. What would you say a good gaming rig would cost with what components?
