Suggestions for PC game??

I'm looking for a new PC game. Most of my games are either FPS's or RTS's. I don't have a steering wheel so racing games are mostly out cause i hate steering with the keyboard. I like MMO's but they've got to be really good.

Any suggestions?

I've tried Sins of a Solar Empire,eh...it was ok,couldnt see myself sitting there for hours. I've also tried World at War,same result.

At the moment, i am playing Warhammer Online, and it is very, very entertaining. None of this grind, grind, grind crap like Blizzard seems to be shoving down our throats. Pvp starts at level 1, public quests are the greatest renovation to MMO's do date, and the Pve was just buffed, so, all in all, a great MMO if you are into that kind of thing. Some other games to look for are Fallout 3 (Sci-fi RPG) Farcry 2 (FPS) Crysis (FPS, if you can handle it) and Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 (RTS).

Hope this helps.

I've been reading about Warhammer and it doesnt sound very appealing to me. As for the other ones, i have them all already

Have you got the orange box? Comes with ll the Half Life 2 games, Portal, Team Fortress 2. Great Value for Money.

Company of Heroes and Company of Heroes:Opposing Fronts (expansion) is a game I find myself playing a fair bit. It's World War 2 based RTS.

i heard Half life was good im more off an old skewl gamer Age of empire Rise of nation Quake 3 and so on

FPS: COD4/World at War. Haven't personally tried World at War, but if it's as good as 4 was, they're both worth picking up. Ultimately, choosing between one or the other comes down to which theme you prefer.

Left 4 Dead was EXTREMELY fun when I played the demo. Really had a unique experience.

RTS: C&C Tiberium Wars is good if you don't like economic micromanagement. Tiberium Wars is very very good if you'd rather micromanage the actual battling aspect of winning. Also, the games are very fast paced. If you use proper rush strategies, and your opponent doesn't counter, games can end in 5 minutes.

MMORPG: You have to try World of Warcraft once. I've played Guild Wars & Warhammer, and while I like both, ultimately WoW is still my choice for MMOs. I wouldn't really recommend them though. Playing MMOs like these are like being brainwashed, because you'll end up so obsessed you won't use your mind for anything other than thinking about WoW. If you want a great gaming experience, get to 80 and play some end-game content in WoW. But if you end up doing it, don't say I didn't warn you. ;):)

These are all recommendations based on games I've played. Based on reviews, I still really want to play Mass Effect and Fallout 3.

These, in my opinion, are currently the top titles.

Cheers! :P

Edit: If your goal is to sit for hours and hours, then WoW is the game for you. If that's a non-issue, dive right in. Just research classes and races before you pick one. Also, take advantage of the recruit a friend program. Google it. Simply put you level much much faster!

supreme commander if you are into RTS games. the learning curve is steep enough to keep you interested for a very long time. the online play is absolutely brutal at first, but once you are able to hold your own it is incredible.

thanks for all the responses. unfortunately i either own or have already tried all the games that have been mentioned. i own all of them except for warhammer (only one i havent tried) and supreme commander (didnt like very much).

COD4 was cool,i had it for the 360 for a while...played online a lot. i havent tried World and War yet. I heard it was really buggy for the PC, and im trying to get more into PC gaming cause i built a PC for it.

i guess the point to my thread was to try and get some game suggestions that arent FPS or RTS cause thats what i mostly own and i need something different.

If you're new to PC gaming, play more FPS games IMO. FPS on PC>Console, bottom line.

What's wrong with WoW though? That's an experience you can only get on PC, and Wrath of the Lich King will really test out your system. And, looking at your system, it would do it well.

Games i can recomend are:
COD4 - FPS
COD5 - FPS
WoW - MRPG
Left for Dead - FPS
Battlefield 2 - FPS
Half-life 2 Deathmatch - FPS

Orange Box + COD4 + GRID(Racing) = No need to ever go outside again ;)

And ive only heard good things about Left 4 Dead...
