Suggestions video editing parts

Ok guys income tax will be around again and i am going to build a new computer. The motherboard went out in my last one and i parted it out.
I need a few suggestions on parts.

This computer will be for video editing and picture editing only. No games for me. I want the people to see the specs and say i have a nice computer but at the same time i don't want to spend over 1K on the entire computer including monitor.

Motherboard- 2.8+ Looking for a asus one only.
Video card- Will be running dual monitors.

Generally agree, but I would probably make few changes
Mobo - don't see the point using 890FX, just get cheap 870 should work fine

PSU - 600W is not needed for single card. I recommend seasonic S12II 520W to save a few $$

Even you want 600W, get seasonic S12II 620W instead, it should have better qualitity than consair CX

Video card - Gigabyte have MIR, worth considering

I could definitely do without a power supply and hard drive but i do want a 1TB for my primary HD so i will probably pick up that 1TB and use my 300gb as a secondary. I have a slightly used Antec 550watt psu sitting around in my garage. That would work fine. right?
Can't wait now!
I will definitely take the extra money for the power supply and put it towards a 22" or 24" screen for my main screen. And within a few weeks after the build i will try to pick up that 19" for a secondary screen.
 
Are you going to stick with Windows xp, if not. Get Windows 7 x64 bit, preferably the Professional or Ultimate. In case if you want to put in more memory later. I work with some photo and video editing, it is nice to have a x64 bit OS.
 
I'm not quite sure....Ill probably go with windows 7. Is programs that say compatible with xp compatible with windows 7?
