i just orderd a new set up.,, and im goin to be runnin a 4870 and as of now i have a 17" flat screen.. i wanna get a new monitor but thinkin what size i should get.. my buddy has a 19" and its nice but i do believe that this card would work better on somethin a lil bigger.. maybe round a 22"?
 
Is it the 512MB or the 1GB 4870?

If it's the 512MB, I'd get a 22".
If it's the 1GB, I'd get a 24".

The more memory will help with rendering a larger resolution.

It all really depends on how much you're willing to spend aswell.

I'd go for a 22", since the 24" monitors are a fair bit more expensive too.

Well, there's the resolution. I'm not sure what a 20" monitor runs at, maybe 1280 x 1024, not entirely sure. Anyway, with a 22" monitor, you're close to being in HD.
 
ok kewl.. u can get a 22" for pretty cheap.. especially since its the holiday season.. lots of deals goin on... any brands u recommend?
 
Go 22". It's probably the most popular size right now, and it'll run beautifully on that card. 24" is just too big, IMHO, considering most people sit up close to their monitor.
