Super extra slow?

Hey all, my gf has a Dell XPS with a core 2 2.0 ghz, 2gb ram, 7900gs, recently it became extra extra slow, apparently for no reason. Can anyone give me some tips on figuring it out? Or someone have any ideas of what it can be?

I had a similar problem, but it was with an OLD hp with win 95. All I did was clean out the ram slots, and replaced the bios battery, and it worked fine from there. I think that might have been a fluke though...

Have you tried downloading CCleaner?

Run that and should be able help the computer speed up a little bit.
