so i have decided to purchase a new router and wireless pci card. i have read very good things about the netgear products. i am wanting to purchase http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Netg.../sem/rpsm/oid/86260/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do
this router and this card

as i have read good reviews on their speed and range. the router will be connected via eithernet cable to a desktop in the basement... there will be a laptop on the first floor with a 802.11g card(this is where the problem/question comes into play) and the pci wireless card will be for my desktop on the second floor. now since the laptop does not support super g.. if i enable super g on the router... will the laptop be able to use this connection? i do not want to spend the extra money on the super g and then not be able to use it because the laptop cant connect.

if not, then i will just be getting 54mbps product.

also... on that offer, since the rebates are one per person per product per household.. will they honor all the rebates? or say that they can only honor the rebates on one but not the other... seeing as how i would be getting 2 rebates from 2 products...
