I have a drive pluged into my laptop via the usb. I scanned it, found errors and fixed them. Rescanned drive again and found more errors. Has anyone had this issue?
What kind of errors are you getting from it? By errors, do you mean infections? Superantispyware scans for infections. Can you provide a scan log for me? Open superantispyware, click on the preferences button on the main page, then click on the statistics/logs tab and open the scan log and copy and paste it back here.
Also do this.
Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here or here and save it to your desktop.
Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to
Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
then click Finish.
If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version. Please keep updating until it says you have the latest version.
Close malwarebytes
Go into "my computer" and right click on your usb flash drive and click on "scan with Malwarebytes antimalware".
When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
A log will be saved automatically which you can access by clicking on the Logs tab within Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
Post that log in your next reply.
You can download flash disinfector and run it with your usb flash drive attached to the system. It will create an autorun file that will stop any infections from getting on it.
Double-click Flash_Disinfector.exe to run it and follow any prompts that may appear. Note: Some security programs will flag Flash_Disinfector as being some sort of malware, you can safely ignore these warnings
The utility may ask you to insert your flash drive and/or other removable drives including your mobile phone. Please do so and allow the utility to clean up those drives as well.
Wait until it has finished scanning and then exit the program.
Reboot your computer when done.
Note: Flash_Disinfector will create a hidden folder named autorun.inf in each partition and every USB drive plugged in when you ran it. Don't delete this folder. It will help protect your drives from future infection.
