Hello, L speaking...:P

I was surfing through web until i saw an article in wikipedia about making a "supercomputer", through connecting 2 or more computers? :confused:

Does anyone know how to make a supercomputer or am I just being an idiot with the idea of supercomputer is simply made from wiring up the PCs? :rolleyes:

Basically, just get top of the line parts that just hit the shelves. Call it a supercomputer. I will be building a computer soon with 6Tb of storage, internally.
 
I don't know a whole lot about it, but the general idea I get is that in a super computer information is sent to other computers to be processed, using software that is tailor made for whatever they are processing. I don't think there is a practical household use for it, like you couldn't hook up two computers for an awesome gaming machine or anything. I think it's mainly for processing chemistry equations and so forth.
 
Ohhhh...so my dream of hooking my rig and the junk computer my brother picked up and turning into Alienware-ish machine is gone with a poof, eh? :P
