norton ghost wont work, cause i am not going to use my other hdd

1) I don't know anything about that so i'm not going to answer it =P
2) Really cheap, you don't want to get this if you have any good speakers. Ok, it's really REALLY cheap, i mean cmon, it's compusa brand
3) a harddrive, Flashdrive, DVD, CD...

well surge protector, iam going to microcenter tomorrow prolly, and ill prolly get a backup battery thing so i if a power outage happens ill have a backup...
soundcard, i need something so my computer recognizes my headset, so i can adjust settings.

That surge protector is fine, but a UPS would be better.

As for the sound card, DO NOT buy that, it's a complete waste. I wouldnt doubt it if your motherboard actually sounds better.

For $29 I would pick up the Creative Audigy SE, which is far better.

do you need a driver for your mobo driver? Yes you do, it should have came with your motherboard.
