I found a program on my work computer called "Body Spectrum". Only thing i could find by search is its made by Macromedia and have no idea what it is. Anybody heard of this?

I can't find anything on it on the Adobe website, just this little tidbit from "software.informer".
Body Spectrum is developed by Macromedia, Inc. and is used by 129 users of Software Informer. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 1.0 and 9.0. The names of program executable files are BodySpectrum.exe, SPECTRUM.EXE. The product will soon be reviewed by our informers.

I've never heard of software.informer, nor have I heard anything about the software "Body Spectrum," and I suspect that it is adware/malware.

See if you are able to remove the software via Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.

Please download and run rkill.exe and then download and run Malwarebytes Antimalware. Remove anything it finds.

Then download and run HijackThis! and post your log here for review.

Have you opened the program? Open it and go to Help-->About and post back with what you find. I don't know what it is - all I know is that I can't find anything about it aside from what I already posted.

It might just be crapware/adware. It might even be a legitimate and useful program. But I highly doubt that it's anything written by Macromedia if I can't get but one relevant Google hit on it... If it's nothing useful, see if you can't uninstall it via Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.

If it's not an option there, and you have a hard time getting rid of it, try running Lavasoft AdAware Free Edition and see if it it picks up anything. Or use CCleaner's Uninstall Programs feature.

I just went ahead and deleted it from add/remove programs. Not sure what it was but not being able to identify it made me a bit weary.

Macromedia aren't a bad company this would be totally out of their character but lots of companies have malware in their apps these days.
