Swapping hard drives on the fly need a cable

Hello all

I have a HP Pavilion zd7 17" laptop. I have 2 hard drives for this laptop that I would like to boot up with, one at a time of course. So instead of pulling one out and then plugging the other in I would like to leave a cable plugged in to the laptop all the time and then just simply plug the hard drives, one or the other, to the cable and then boot up the computer. Is there a cable that I can use to do this procedure with?

If the laptop has spots for 2 hard drives then the easiest way is to go into the BIOS and select which drive to boot into.

Ha! you know what? The darn thing actually has an extra slot and connection for a 2nd hard drive after all. I would never have thought I'd be that lucky which is why I rejected the idea so quickly. Life can be a real hoot sometimes.:D

That's what I thought as most 17 inch laptops usually have a spot for a second hard drive. My 17 inch dell studio does.
