swapping out a video card

when swapping out a video card that is the same interface and is from the same chipset maker (nvidia) would i just be able to swap the card out the same as i could a stick of ram and not have to install anything in windows? nvidia does use the same driver for all their cards right?

i believe you can just swap them if they are the same drivers. if not windows will probly find it for you. just make sure you update your drivers.

Yes, if it is the same interface it should be fine. Just ground your sel(touch back of comptuer) then make the switch. You may need to reinstall drivers to fix some issues, but It's very easy to be done and can be downloaded from www.nvidia.com or www.ati.com
