Sweet looking CPU fan, but does it cool well?

I've been looking around for a new CPU fan for my Core 2 Quad, and I stumbled upon this, Thermaltake SpinQ. It has the looks, but does anyone know if it cools well, would I just be better off getting an Arctic Freezer 7 Pro?

I noticed the heatsink wasn't fully made out of copper, which kinda scares me, but I see people getting good temps and high OCs which is what I am looking for.

I like my Xigmatek S1283 cheaper and just as good performance. The only issue is if you have a inside side case fan it will block it much like the Tuniq Tower 120.

I run 31-30-25-27 idle @ 3.2ghz and 50-50-45-47c @ 100% @ 1.365v (with fan speed only at 1000RPM vs 1500RPM)

Tuniq Tower 120 (not for a small case can fit in a Antec 900)

The Sunbeam is also a good cooler.

Personally there are better/cheaper coolers out there now then the Zalman 9700...while its a great cooler its a old and thus newer ones perform as well or better for less.

Things I like about these 3 coolers is if you demand more cooling you can attach a 110+ CFM fan where as most others you are stuck with the stock fan which isn't bad...but it might hinder your plans depending on what you wanna do.

im thinkin about getting it, so post back if you get it how u like it

I would also be interested to see the results.

Though a guy with a Q6600 reported 39c idle temps...which is really high to me. In the reviews of the cooler. Also the picture doesn't seem to give it justice...it would seem its much larger then I first thought.

I would also recommend the S1283, my cpu cooler is just a rebranded xigmatek s1283 thats was a tad cheaper at the time. Best cooler out there imo, and from what i understand the 9700 zalman isnt as good for quads as it is for dual cores. Most of the HDT(heatpipe direct touch) coolers work effectively because they can transfer heat without an added medium(copper block).

I was looking at this the other day actually i was thinking the same thing but i really look for performance more than looks the best thing though is looks and performance put together is that possible with this cooler i know it has the looks so fare :)
