okay okay, I know this topic was discussed several times, but I just wanted to form a separate thread for this exact company - swiftech.

here’s the system I wanna cool down:

  • ASUS P5N-E SLI 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI ATX Intel
  • EVGA 640-P2-N821-AR GeForce 8800GTS 640MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16
  • Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz 775

and the actual problem is that it’s sooooooo confusing to figure out what I acually need. I was studying the ugly disorganized swiftech.com for a couple of days and didn’t get much..

so here we go.

1. what parts do I need? (explanation with a reference to the price preferable)

here're few I found:

VGA water-blocks (what's the difference?)
- MCW60
- MCW60 "Retail version"
- STEALTH
- MC8800 SMC cooling Kit
- MCW-Ramcool
Chipset water-blocks (compatibillity?)
- MCW30
CPU water-blocks
- APOGEE™ GT
- APOGEE™ GTX
- APOGEE™ 1U Server
Pumps
- MCP350™ 12 VDC Pump
- MCP355™ 12 VDC Pump
- MCP655™ 12 VDC Pump (i guess this one is the best choice right?)
Radiators (how to figure out the necessary and sufficient?)
- MCR80 QP 80mm
- MCR120 QP 120mm
- MCR220 QP 2X120mm
- MCR320 QP 3X120mm
Reservoirs
- MCRES-Micro res.
Accessories
- Smartcoils tube wrapping
- MCB-120™ "Radbox" R2
- "F" Fittings
- BSPP Chrome Fittings
- 7950GX2 Spacer Kit

2. I’m positive that there’s a manual with all the installation direction, but can anyone draw a water flow circuit? or just give a link where it’s shown.

3 . how useful and/or necessary are those MC8800 SMC pins?

4 . any other advices..

thanks a lot!! ur the best!!

MCW30 will work
APOGEE GT is pretty good
2X120mm is good but the 3X120mm is better

pick what ever pump fits your budget
and again pick whatever GPU cooling that fits your budget and get the MCW

ok thanks

but i heard that h20-120 is not powerful enof for a quad

and what's the difference between those GPU coolings. i mean, is there a reason for spending more money if i can spend less?
