Switch Problems

Hi,

I am having trouble with my switch on my network. I have a Linksys G router (wireless with booster, but everything in my house is wired) wired to vonage, 2 computers and a 75 feet of cat 6 cable to a switch in my living room. In the living room there is PS2, Wii, and soon to be a linksys music center or a/g media extender (have not decided yet). Anyhow, with the wii hooked to the switch the wii internet runs slow, does not allow for most of the features. With it hooked directly into the wall (which is wired directly to my router) it seems to work fine. What am I doing wrong with my switch? It came with no directions so I just plugged it in and plugged in the wires. Is there a special way to hook it up?

Thanks for any help

well, what all do you have running on your network? How many devices are connected and what are they doing? Do you have bittorrent client running maxed out? That could kill your bandwidth to the internet.

Also, you can try power cycling the switch to reboot it.

Tried power cycling

Connected to router:
This computer (always on)
Vonage
Additional computer (always off)
Switch

Connected to switch:
Wii
PS2 (off)

Even with the Wii connected to the switch by itself to the switch it is slow.

Thanks.
