Switching Graphic cards

I just bought a HP Pavilion Dm4. I purchased a game off steam and it says that that the graphic card does not meet the minimum requirements. I know that this is because it is recognising my onboard graphics instead of my Radeon 7470M. My question is, is their a way to make my Radeon the main graphic card.

Look in your manual. There might be a switch on the outside of your laptop.

Good question but a dm4 is a laptop and there are different models in the dm4 series. Below is the specs for one model:
