Is there anything in particular I need to know besides the basics of playing around with the insides of a computer?

Not really, you unplug everything, and unscrew a few things, then take it out, and do the opposite with the new one

1. Dont ground yourself when dealing with PSUs
2. No matter what you read or people tell you, FSB800 doesnt exist
3. Overclocking SATA controllers is ill-advised
4. Too much thermalpaste is bad
5. Mixing thermalpaste with something else is bad
6. Dont split the power rails left and right willy nilly :)
