SWTOR and Radeon hd 6490m

So ive been having problems on my laptop with switchable graphics. Whenever i swithc to my high preformance GPU (radeon hd 6490m) and load star wars the old republic i get just a black screen it gets past the log in and it plays the character selection screen music but just doesnt display. ive tried some different drivers but the preformance is always worse than my intel hd graphics. just wondering if anyone can give me any ideas as to why it does this?

What's the model of your laptop, which OS are you running, and do you load SWTOR before, after, or during the GPU switch?

I have the HP Dv7 6135dx with Win 7 Pro and ive tried loading the game then swithcing and ive also switched prior to loading it.

You can play other games with no issue? On your dedicated card, that is.

i had troubles play D3 with it as well my Intel graphics have always been better but that just doesn't seem right.

I have actually been trough all of those steps with the BIOS flash and changing it to fixed ive even tried a modified driver that made the game visible but extremely bad quality even on low settings.

Well that's odd. Is the laptop still under warranty?
