I am trying to figure out why my HP ze100 (xf325) laptop keeps powering off. I recently soldered a new ac jack onto the MOBO. Other than running slower than I think it should (or, really, slower than it used to), it works fine. After about 15 minutes, though, it shuts itself off. No errors, no beeping, no warning. Just shuts off. It has 256 megs of pc100 memory, 30 mb HD and runs xp sp2 home. I just bought a new battery. Put in a new fan and fresh cooling compound on the heatsink. Could a bad memory module be causing my problem? What else could it be?
Thanks for anything!
