SyncMaster drivers

I have a Samsung SyncMaster 753s monitor (CRT), I have installed drivers for the monitor, but always when I open a graphics program it reports an error that the monitor is not calibrated correctly and that i have to run the CD with the monitor drivers. I installed the other drivers that i downloaded from an official Samsung website, but it's the same problem.

Questions:

Why do I need drivers for monitor, I had the Nvidia display drivers before and the system was working fine.
Is it really necessary to have these drivers for monitor?
How do I remove them? (I've already tried, but I just removed the display drivers, not for the monitor)

You shouldn't need monitor drivers, they are actually plug and play. Have you downloaded and installed the latest drivers for your video card? It's also possible that the monitor has a default setting, look in the owners manual. It's possible that you used the buttons to change its settings somehow?

I have the latest drivers for my video card, and I lost the owners manual so i can't look in there. Any idea how to remove them?
