Sys Fan Error Message

I recently bought a new case (Rosewill TU-155 II 500 ATX Mid Tower 500 Watt) and I moved my pc (Inspiron 537 with Vista) from its Dell Slimline case into the new one. Everything is working fine except on startup I get a sys fan error which I have come to understand has something to do with the bios detecting a problem with the fan. But the case fan as well as the fan on the MOBO are working fine.

The MOBO fan plugs right into the board and I never unplugged it when I moved from the old case.

I think there should be some way to go into the bios and tell it to not monitor the fan so I dont get this error message each startup, but when I hit F2 to enter setup, I cant seem to find where this menu is. Can anyone help?

Thanks.

You could always just buy a power converter cable and have the fan run off of a molex. Then it wouldn't be connected to the motherboard and you won't have to worry about it, it would work just as well too.

Moving it around you might have just pulled it alittle or something. Unplug your CPU fan then replug it to make sure its connected good.

Also, make sure the fans are plugged into their correct plugs on the mobo.

my IBM system has 3:
CPU_FAN (for the cpu obviously)
REAR_FAN (for the loud 60mm rear fan, i really neeed to get a quiter one)
SYS_FAN (for any sort of case fan)

My BIOS complains if a fan is not in the "correct" plug. That's an OEM BIOS for ya.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have tried unplugging the fan on the MOBO to make sure the connection is good but I still get the error message. And now its getting worse, after i get the error and hit F1 to continue, before the desktop fully loads I got a blue screen and it restarted. It then stayed in the cycle of getting a blue screen and restarting until i manually powered down. Has anyone ever seen something like that from a hardware or sys fan error before?
