System Crashing/errors

I have recently been getting a few crashes and bsods (blue screen of death's). I have noted what each has said and it has always been either:

Page_error_in_non_paged_area

or

system_service_exception

Could any of you give me some ideas as to what could be causeing this?

I did a google of both, the first came up with, well not alot of useful stuff, the other came up with only 4 pages. 1 was in german so couldn;t read that.

The other 3 all seemed to be either RAM timing or voltages issues, but i ahve had a fully stable system for months without changing anything in my RAM. It has also been a board having alot of stuff on, but the page with that said it was a micro board, so i'm thinking maybe that is why it happened to them.

its possible to have a faulty RAM stick or perhaps you just have an amateurly written virus or piece of spyware. Some of the newer hackers are giving them BSOD capabilities.

You should run memtest 86 on the system to see if you have any RAM problems. Also resetting your BIOS may help. If niether of those help you may want to swap the PSU.

lol, give me a link to the german one, I am a german, so I can read it just fine.

RAM will make BSODS, so get memtest and run it, see if your ram is bad.

I run memtest weekly or every other week so if something like this pops up i know it isnt bad RAM, my RAM is fine it says and thats from leaveing it on overnight so 8-10 hours running.

I'll try scanning for viruses and spyware, see if that could be the cause, thanks for that idea monolith.

My bios is at the most recent one, had to flash it not that long ago and it has been working fine since doing that. As for swapping the PSU, this one will not have gone bust already, i would put money on it. It is hardly under strain with a dual card, dual core, 4 stick of RAM, 2 HDD system that isn't overclocked and as it's corsar and comes with 5 year warranty, i'd give it 6 years before it dies.

That is the link to the german page that came up, if there is anything in tehre that is of use that you could translate for me i would really appreciate it.

Thanks for all of your help and ideas so far guys

ONe guy listed the version of DirectX, so mebbe update that. Also possible is video, according to these guys. Is the RAM being detected as correct? You know, speed and all?

I've just got the message:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

This i know is memory. I had it when the first RAM i got for my system, 2GB of corsair 6400 RAM and it was corrupt. I have also just gone to run memtest for my weekly run and it has said when i went to run all unused memory: Could not allocate 4096MB memory. I am going to check all are seated correctly now and clean all the slots out and also try with just 1 set of each of the modules in at a time

Just cracked open my case, as soon as i looked at my RAM something was apparent: One of my modules wasn't n, in so much as one side was in, the other was out by about a quarter of an inch, the clip wasn't even down.

Hopefully that has sorted it, thankyou very much for giving the idea that it may have been the memory, wouldn't have worked it out without the input :)
