Hey all,

Just built a new computer and tried to fire it up. It turns on and everything but we get an audible error message that says "System failure due to CPU over clocking." The motherboard we ordered did not come with an overclocked CPU. We have a AMD 3500+ CPU and Asus A8V Deluxe motherboard. And we have no PnP connected. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Yep I can't flash the bios either

I tried with a floppy, which it won't read, and it also won't detect my hdd.

I will see if its set at 200mhz and if not change it.

Thanks for the help!

i noticed on the asus site that there has been several bios updates for your board that all add newer CPU support. the site doesn't state any specific CPU's but i would say that your CPU isn't currently supported by the motherboard unless you have updated the bios

Just go through BIOS and set up all the values .. you'll sometimes get that when you OC or when you install a new CPU :) Its there to prevent accidental OCing.
