depends on your temp the highest u want is about 56 at load so get prime 95 run it for 10 min an if your temp is lower than 56 keep on going.
where to put your sys fan?
on your MOBO there will be 2 medal squers rectangles u cant miss them 1 of them u can take off that is there u put the sys fan in the place the medal thing u take of

On This page, look at the picture of the MOBO. Where it says AM2 connector, your CPU goes in there. Your system fan (Heatsink & Fan) go over the CPU in this socket and it clips down on the clips on each side.

can i replace the sink with a fan in the NVIDIA GeForce 6100 NB chipset?

Oh! and you mean that the system fan is already in the processor?
But there is still a 3-pin in the MOBO that is labeled sys fan written.
There is a 4-pin sys fan, that is where my processor is located(you already know this)
And a 3-pin sys fan slot which I dont know....

In order to keep your CPU from frying, a heatsink that may look like This goes over and locks down onto the side of the socket (Essentially clamping onto the motherboard).

The chipset has it's own heatsink already on it. I don't believe it's advisable/possible to remove it and try to put something else on in it's place. (Mine came with a small heatsink w/ fan already installed on it)

The 3-pin that is labeled SYS FAN is where you plug in your heatsink fan so you have power and the fan spins (cooling off the heatsink).

I hope someone comes around and clears up what I'm saying.
