hi guys, i recently purchased a new Chaintech fx5700, as soon as i put it in my computer any game i would try would lock up my system, i did a bios flash and it seemed to work for the next couple days but my power supply failed, i had my motherboard replaced and ive tried updating the bios, driver, reinstalled windows, u name it, anyway my system is locking up again but after playing for a bit now. I have tried my card on my friends computer and it works fine, the fps and performance are better than on mine.
what could be the problem, could it be my memory stick? just a simple windows error or what??
please help if you can

fyi my system specs are: athlon xp 1600, windows xp pro, 256ddr, 60gig hd, abit brandnew motherboard, fx 5700

I'm not a guru like some of the guys out here, but it sounds maybe like your processor may be overheating at high loads. I had a similar experience with an AthlonXP. Maybe try running some other programs (benchmarks that code video or something) that require alot of processing power, and see if you get the same result.

1. What model of mobo do you have?
2. Are the voltages stable? Whats the make/model of the PSU?

Hmmm

I had a prob like this before, solved it by downgrading the graphics driver to nVidia 61.77. Try it, there latest drivers are full of bugs ya see........
