Besides this being the first one of a double post you can look at the event viewer. Once you go into the control panel and double click on the Administrative Tools to open that up you can open either the Computer Management or the MMC to click on the event viewer. This is one tool that can be helpful when trying to debug system problems since you can see a long list of different activities at different times and review the tech data seen there for reference.
