OK, toshiba says i have to do a system recovery, which will delete everything on my comp i guess, because my touchpad doesnt work and they will only fix it if it is a software problem, not a hard ware problem. Does anyone know exactly what this will do and what it will delete. Will i have to reinstall all new windows updates and will my drivers be up to date. I guess all my software will be gone too...Good thing most of it is free apps. Thanks

Do you mean use the system recovery CD provided by Toshiba, or Windows restore?

If its the recovery CD, then everything will be deleted and basically it will reinstall Windows again, so you would need to update Windows again.

You can try reinstalling just the touchpad drivers if you havent already, it should be on the Toshiba support/download page.

the system recovery CD provided by Toshiba. I have reinstalled the driver and that didnt work. I think it is a hardware problem. Will it prompt me what to update in windows or do i need to go and find it all. And do you think all the software that came with the comp will go back on like my burning software and musicmatch.
