system restore point

can i make my restore point stay where i make it manually....

because the restore point change overtime, like after installation and after updates......

the older restore points will be deleted when there's a new one so i need to make one that will not change unless i make a restore point manually......
 
I'm not 100% sure, maby this -

Control Panel
System
System Properties
Protection System ->
Select the drive, and click Create
 
After i have done a system restore it shows me only Compaq (c) with a tick in the box but Recovery it shows no tick in the box,any ideas why.
