okay would it work if i changed mobo but put the same stuff on the slots and stuff? and then use the restore disc? :cool:
 
I don't think so. System Restore is to restore your PC just as it was before adding a piece of software or drivers, not to reinstall new MOBO drivers. You can try just switching the MOBO, and seeing if Windows will accept the changes..but I usually feel better if I do a reinstall when making changes like that..but that is just me ;)
 
I dont think system restore would work in that manner. your hardrive is where windows is, and contains the drivers for your current mother board, if you switched mother boards, windows might work, but your m/b drivers wouldnt, and youd have to reinstall those.
