t mobile hotspot @ home

anybody using it? this uses the internet as a phone. you plug in your landline phone into the special router they give you. i was told that you can use this as a landline phone.

it's 10 bucks a month for this service as compared to atnt landline service of 20ish. i am concerned that once i cancel atnt would something happen to my dsl...

I thought about doing this awhile back, but I felt it wasn't worth the cost of canceling my wireless contract with at&t. You can cancel your phoneline and keep the DSL, right?

well my dsl is with another company - dslextreme. it's seperate from atnt. guess i'll just have to try it and see what happens.

this is different from "dry loop" internet (dsl internet without a dial tone). my dial tone will be from the phone connected to the router and not the traditional phone jack.
