Tablet recommendation? (sorry for another post)

Hey guys,

Sorry for posting another one so soon...

My mom is interested in buying a tablet... she's going to use it for web browsing, video streaming (hardcore movie, drama fan)...

Is iPad good for this? Are they still struggling with the Flash incompatibility? My mom would be streaming videos from various sources that are not English.. just curious if there are any tablets out there that can withstand maximum compatibility

Anything bigger than 9'' is preferred

Was wondering if there are any plans for Google or any other manufacturers to release any newer and better tablets? Otherwise, I'm pretty convinced that Nexus 10 will be a good one for my mum
 
Google may release updated versions of their tablets this year, but I'm not sure. I'm definitely waiting until then before I get a Nexus 7.

Hmm.... I'm not sure if it's worth the wait lol.. trying to get the best bang for the buck.. but Nexus 10 it is for now..

Android doesnt support flash anymore. A blackberry playbook would have a great browser with flash, but its only a 7 inch.
 
I have been looking for the same thing. Between the Nexus 7 and 10 as well as the samsung Note 10.1. I am leaning towards the 7 myself. Little smaller but still practical. The note I don't see myself ever using at school, etc.

Does anyone know when we would expect google to announce another set of tablets? Not sure if they wait until the holidays or something.

Ah I see... but a regular video streaming should not be a problem on the Nexus 10 right? Like... you know those random video players (there must be thosuands out there)

I'm wondering the same thing here... lol Nexus 10 is fairly new is it? If it is, then I'll just go for it
 
+1 for the Nexus 10 just for the screen resolution alone. It's still fairly new, most likely not even half a year old.

Android not having Flash isn't a problem for me. I watch YouTube using the dedicated app and I've been watching the V8 Supercars livestreams from their website from inside Google Chrome itself.
