Taking a Screenshot

I thought you had to press the "Prt Scr Sys Rq Button?"

I can't take screenshots anymore and I can't figure out why?! Probably pressing the wrong button. haha
 
Yes that's the correct button.

You are then opening a graphics program and pasting the image in aren't you?

I have heard of people thinking that pressing that button was all they needed to do... ;)

(In linux, pressing the button is all you need to do!)

Before I reinstalled windows I never had to paste it. I would just Click the button then it would have a text on the screen saying... "Screenshot Saved" or something to that effect.

So basically I gotta hit the button, open "Paint" or something like that and just paste it?

You must of had 3rd party software installed. Windows does not have that option by default.

Yes, hit print to take a full screen shot or if you want to only grab the currently highlighted window then press ALT PrtScn and then paste into a graphics package. Any package will do as long as you can save as jpg.
