taking a snapshot of yourt front screen

A friend sent me a a shot of his front screen when he wanted to show me e-trade strategies with some drawings on the graphs. How do you take a photo of your front screen so you can send it someone?
 
print screen button. copy's to the clipboard. then paste in email.

Or need to capture all screen. if your using Firefox get a pluggin called sureshot. this will also highlight the entire page.

don't stop there ..... get a highlighter too.
 
press the print screen button (or prntscrn). then open paint and paste it inside that and save the image in jpg format. thats it.
if u wana take a snapshot of only the active window, hold alt while pressing prints sreen.

attach the image as an attachment to an email, or do anything with it.

just tried it. works great, thanx.

fyi
right clicking doesn't work here. your have to click "edit" then paste.
 
Theres also a free program out there called Screen Seize. It is free and simple. A quick google search should help you with that.
