Taking apart Fractal Design R2 fan

Hi. I would like to take the fan blades off the casing to be able to paint the casing white. Could anyone offer any clues as to how I procede in taking this fan apart?

Anybody with some experience perhaps?
 
Doom, are you talking about painting the case or painting the fan housing?

And I am not sure they can be taken apart. I think they are made with hot weld plastic, meaning you would have to break the fan housing to get the blades out.

That's what I fear... Yes, I am talking about painting the fan housing only. The blades are already white. I can't find any screws anywhere. I'm just afraid that if any paint gets on the blades, it could unbalance them, and cause them to rattle during the operation.
 
You can't disassemble a fan. You're better off just buying a clear fan or a fan in the color of your choice.

Model paint. that is the answer here. Or get a fan that is 100% white to start with.
