Taking out 8800GT problem

Alright I know this is really stupid to ask but I'm not having any luck after hours of trying.

I'm trying to take out my 8800GT from my old computer and putting it in a different one, and the back of it won't come out. The front part (towards the back) comes out find but even if I try pulling with a little pressure it won't budge. I've tried everything I can think of. I can't remember how I put it in either. Any idea of what I'm doing wrong?

And again, sorry for asking such a dumb question.

There's a release for it. Should be a lever or clip of sorts.

And remember there's no such thing as a dumb question, just dumb people who don't ask when they have a question.

No, there's just the release at the end that holds in the little foot thing. Then there's the pci screw and your monitor connection and the power cord. Those are the only things that should be restraining it. If all those are disconnected, it should come out fairly easily. Just pull up and wiggle a bit.

So the part circled is what I'm supposed to slide or whatever right?

The part circled is what locks into place. There should be a flexible plastic clip that is holding that in the interface slot on the motherboard.

Should I be careful on how hard I push it? I don't want to break it off or anything and doing it lightly isn't doing the trick.

And I don't see a plastic clip.

Huh, I don't see any obstructions, do you know the make and model of the motherboard (I'm going to see if I can find a picture of it without any sort of parts installed from Newegg...)

It should be a simple push in and pull out.

In the middle of the mobo, by that SLI logo, to the left, on the blue vertical slot, you want to push in that white clip in.

That picture gamer poster doesn't match with the picture that you took. Let me poke around a second...

EDIT: Didn't realize that it was a name brand... :( Probably won't be able to find a picture easily...

Have you tried rocking the card back and forth a bit? Sometimes the interfaces get really tight and just need to be worked loose a bit.

It's plugged into the black interface right now, right? If that's the case, I don't see a clip or anything that would need to be released in that picture... Try rocking it back a forth a bit, just be sure to grab the card in a spot where you won't break off any transistors...

Ok, sorry man, I've had to yank on some cards pretty hard before to get them out, so don't be afraid to use a little force with it... Show it who's the boss! :P

Haha alright, I'll try that. Getting a little pissed about not being able to get it out at 2 in the morning anyways.

Would you suggest yanking it out with a hand on each side or both in the middle? I'm guessing the middle lol.
