task manager pops up

when i hit ctrl alt and delete, the task manager pops up for a second then disappears. How can I fix this??

I have windows XP

it does the same thing. Pops up for a second then disappears.

Hmm if I recall I had this problem awhile back. Turns out this was caused by a virus/spyware. Follow the steps in this Sticky to rule out the possibility of a virus.

ok, its not a virus.

have u checked for any spyware or ad-ware
and have u try to go to start-> run and type there taskman
