Task Scheduler Problem

im on windowx xp sp3 i have a problem with task scheduler i go to find it and it has no icon and it doesnt come up..then i go into services to see what the deal is and i try to start it and it says "could not start the task scheduler service on local computer error 126: the module could not be found"

apparently for some reason it doesnt seem to be on my pc

anyone know how to fix this problem
 
so i thought i fixed it by finding the inf fiile right clicking and installing it..cause now i have it back where it should be and can access it but i just tried to schedule and it told me the service wasnt running so now i go back into services and try to start it and get a different error

could not start the task scheduler service on local computer
error 1290: 0x50a
