Tax return recieved.. Building new gaming rig. Budget $1400~

Need some help picking out parts.

Would like a machine that will last a couple of years, that is able to be over clocked and would like a SSD in this machine. Thanks in advance

Reason why I need a new machine is I recently moved and my best friend gave me a bunch of furniture. In return I told him I would give him my computer in trade once I got my tax returns in and built a new machine. He needs a new gaming rig pretty bad, so thought it would be a nice swap. In turn I got a bedroom set and a sofa along with a new gaming machine.

So, what should I go with in terms of parts?

For a budget of $1400, I'd look at the Intel i5 2500k, 8Gb of RAM, and either an AMD 7970, or wait till the new 6xx Nvidia cards are out.

I would say go with an i7 2600K, 8 or more gigs or Corsair Vengeance RAM, and a Nvidia 580 or wait for the 6xx series
Mobos just make sure it's a reputable company such as Asus
SSD You'll definitely want at least 120GB with SATA3
