Team fortress 2- scout update

Bootup, its not that big of an update. Itll be done pretty quick at that speed.

It took me a couple hours but it was also going at like 50kb/s or something absurd (that was the minute it was released)

How so?

Personally, I like the new maps a lot. I dont really play scout so the new weapons didnt really benefit me. Also, I dont think they really got that much of a power boost (what I mean is they're still not overpowered in my oppinion).

If youre refering to the massive ammounts of scouts running around now, just wait it out. Always happens after updates. Once the "newness" wears off, it'll go back to normal or possibly better than before. Before the update, it didnt seem like there were enough people playing scout. Hopefully once things settle down (starting to already I'd imagine, havent played the past 3 or so days), a few players will realize they enjoy the scout and we'll have more balanced teams.
