Anyone play? I got the game on christmas, and its amazing. It can get a bit unbalanced, but so can everything else :P.

We should make a clan if we get enough people :O
 
I've been playing it since the beta, it's the best game of all time! I actually pretty much went from 22 hours a week of CSS, down to 0.5 hours :D
 
I like the game, but the lack of assault rifles can be annoying. Everyone seems to have shotguns so you have to be right next to someone to kill them. It certainly takes some getting used to.

kind of ironic to hear that from someone named after a shotgun! :P

i haven't gotten used to it yet and actually agree with you 100%. the thing i liked about CS was the skill in shooting far away, and that's not as simple to do with the classes on TF2.
 
Some AK47 in the game would be good their supposed to be adding a new character at some point no idea when or what he will be armed with could even be a woman some girls like to play it. It's the best most fun multiplayer game around and a good laugh with those Pixar Incredibles inspired graphics and character design. I used to play the first Team Fortress on my first PC and I can't believe they took around 7 yrs to update it but it's good now it's here. Anyway who needs assault rifles when you got 20mm 100 bullets a sec gatling cannon.

I used to think that the cartoon-type gameplay would be incredibly stupid, but I love it! It gets you away from always needing life-like graphics for a game to be fun.

I prefer it over TFC, mainly because the classes are more even now, and being other classes other then snipers or engineers on 2Fort.
 
i think the games an instant classic. everyone that plays it seems to be in it just for fun which is a nice change from CS where everyone is preoccupied with winning.
 
Yeah more team work, I have seen speed hackers(not scouts :P) in it already :( I hope Valve doesn't let it go without good security. I laid off on playing CS:S because any 11yo brat can get their hands on hacks. I love the game though, I am a decent Pyro, Scout, or Spy. The Demoman can start to seem overpowered. Awesome game! I think there should be a mod for it, where the Engineer gets Garry's mod tools to build his own trap, there would have to be limitations though.
 
I play a medic almost exclusively, it just feels natural to me. I play other classes every once in a while, but I just can't get the hang of em. I'll keep trying once I can play more in a few days, though I've got a ps2 game coming in the next few days, as well as midterm week in 2 weeks, so iunno.
 
I got TF2 for Christmas too, though I didn't test it until yesterday. But it's one of my favorite multi-player games now.
 
i dont know if there are any bots, but there are heaps of servers on steam. go buy the game its fun :D

yeah the original quake one was awesome and the best one IMO. you're probably too young :D i was like 14-15 when i was playing it, so it's been a good ten years or so.

I was not much of a gamer before I was in 9th grade, mainly because we had dial-up since then and I didn't use the internet much, so I didn't know about the new games. I never heard of CS until a year or so before CSS came out, haha

I heard of CS like, after CSS came out.

Though im only in 9th now, so I guess Im not too far behind :P

i have it, but i havent played it (addicted to portal currently). i would, but the colleges proxy servers block me (see the rant thread im about to post).
