I have a Toshiba Tecra S1 with 512 Mb of Ram PC2100 DDR non-ecc.
I have checked crucial.com and been informed that the system will hold two 1 gb memory modules and that it will perform fine with pc2700 ddr non-ecc ram.
Problem is that turning the laptop over and removing the screw over the memory module I only see one memory stick and one memory slot. Any ideas on how to access the second slot and how to remove/replace the existing ram stick?
The way the ram is placed on the motherboard is unfamiliar to me.
I find myself unfamiliar with laptop basics. I am fairly competent with desktop upgrade and repair items.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
