No no no, atx is the form factor of the mobo, yes atx is the most common but that doesn't mean they all are. And where all those connectors on the back of the mobo are, the mouse, keyboard ps/2, usb etc. That metal plate that is around them should pop out, and then the mobo that you buy will come with new plate that goes there.

I see. So that mobo will fit my case? Thanks for all your help guys! This is my first build so expect more questions. and yes I am using the buiking 101 thing.
 
the 3 slots are PCI, the CPU is Socket 370, and dont know what the brown slot is.

The 2 on the bottom are ISA followed by the white ones which are PCI and the top one which is AGP (3.3v it looks like)

like what games? Socket 370's suck 2 be honest, not gaming CPU's at all, i gotta 370 in my Optiplex, 1GHZ, wouldnt play games well.

If it will take a tualatin you could OC it to a beast and you'd be able to play most new games.

Well I'm 15. I don't have a job yet (planning on getting one soon) and my b-day is next month. I have $100 right now and plan to get $100-$250 for my birthday. I can buy some stuff as I need it (momery upgrades ect.). So about $200-$350 for now. I know that won't get me every thing but it should get me close.




Thats all in canadian currancy.
