Temperatures from PC Wizard

I'm getting all sorts of different readings constantly for my Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 Processor.

The CPU Temperature reading goes from anything from 1oC - 61oC !

Whereas, Core #1 and #2 readings stay at 50-54.. 54 when in more use.
Is the Wizard reading the temperature wrong? Surely if it went from 1oC to 61 then back down to 34 in a matter of seconds i'd atleast hear a big noise.

Thanks in Advance.

The best way to confirm actual temps is to run more then one temp/voltage program like having SpeedFan or some other program along with PC Wizard and looking at the hardware monitor in the bios if your board has that feature. You want confirmation from more then one source to verify readings. You certainly don't want to be seeing 61C as the actual temp at any time. That would be "cpu cookout" there!

SiSoftware's Sandra Lite is a goodie and oldie there but highly recommended. You will find that name coming up in pc repair courses often. The main idea however is to see you are seeing a glitch with the program you already have showing inaccurate temps. Even SpeedFan and others have occasional software glitches.
