Temps too hot?

Hello,

I think my system is getting too hot?

The specs are in my siggy.

After my computer been on 1 hour on general internet use the temps are....

CPU:57C
MOTHERBOARD:36C
Hard drive:36c

Ive recently had the graphics card fitted on siggy and a new Psu and i dont know how hot the Graphics card is because i dont think theres any sensors on it:mad:

Are these temps hot?

that looks ok. if youre using a usb wireless adaptor like i do then it takes up a lot of cpu power and heats up quickly. graphics card shouldnt make it heat that much - its only 9600

my temp with usb wireless is around 47 to 55 degrees depending on the weather, around 10 degrees higher than with network cable. and the max temp is 60oC when running games.

Yeah but isnt it not safe for the cpu to go over 60c?

I think its getting how since before i had the graphics card the cpu temps was about 35c:confused:

And now my cpu usage is always stuck on 100% which makes my system slow and unresponsive.

go to task manager by right clicking on your task bar and see what programs are taking up the cpu usage.

the cpu temp is dependent on the weather and also as time goes by it increases as more and more dust gets in the hsf, therefore regular cleaning is a must in urban areas

Ive opened up the case only to reveal that the technition who installed my new Psu & Graphics card has let all the wires from the psu hang over the top of the Heatsink fan restricting its airflow:D

Ive put some cable ties and made the wires more tidy now.

After 2 hours of it been on the cpu temps are around 30-35.

wow...great hope it stays that low for you...my cables are all neatly tucked away thats why my case temp is always at a nice and cool 27c

haha. That's funny. I'm glad you got it all figured out. Way to go.. You should open up your own computer shop..

Lol :D

Yeah i just cant believe that the technition didnt put them all tidy,I mean obviusly he would know it would restrict the air flow.

Soppose he just wanted to get the job done quick and recieve the money i payed him for the upgrade :D

Well anyway the temps have stayed still quite low.

Thanks people :)

Most technicians really don't know what they are doing. At least that's my experience and you have certainly seen it right here on this board as well. I can't even begin to tell you how many comps I've serviced that have been a complete disaster area, brought to me from other computer stores with supposedly competent techs. It's frightening really. They are what gives the trade a bad name. Cable management, as you are well aware, is uber important.
